Hello!

My name is Anne Tracey and I have been successfully teaching young children for over 10 years. By utilizing a holistic approach, my students have learned how to read and grasp math fundamentals at an early age without the stress of intensive academic environments: when learning is fun, children look forward to learning! That is what Creative Knowledge School is all about!

Our Goals:
I have observed over the years that some children, especially those who have difficulties with attention and focus, learn best in a smaller, more personalized setting. Because of this, I am opening my Mission San Jose home to a limited number of elementary school-age students for a personalized learning experience in a home school environment. My goal is to provide these special children with the consideration and attention they deserve while teaching them the academic skills they will need to succeed in life.

Our Process:
The program is based on the Workshop Way method. This approach to learning gives children the power to grow towards a positive self concept. They will develop self confidence, self discipline, and inner security. This enables the children to feel intelligent while learning and making mistakes. This is done through independence in work habits, honesty, responsibility, willingness to take risks and a favorable attitude towards living.

Our Philosophy:
By limiting class size, the children will enjoy personalized learning. We will take field trips in order to continue our learning outside the classroom. The children will have input for our trips so we can ensure their engagement. Because the social aspects of an education are critical to development, we will be participating in events with other groups of home and public schooled children. Homework will be determined by the individual student’s needs and ability. I will minimize the stress normally associated with homework, while preparing your child for the inevitability of having to deal with assignments. My home provides a safe, warm, familiar atmosphere that is conducive to learning. As such, parents are always welcome and encouraged to observe and participate in their child’s education. I have been approved by the State of California background check for teachers, more importantly, I truly enjoy working with children and watching them succeed!
